Community Fund Project

At the request of the residents of Tame Bridge, the Parish Council liaised closely with the NYCC Safety Officer regarding the road junction at Tame Bridge. As a result, the Community Fund has paid for the installation of a refuge to enable a safer road crossing for pedestrians and to deter vehicles from cutting the corner at speed, which has been of great concern to local residents.

Thanks to all concerned at NYCC Highways Department and to County Councillor Bryn Griffiths for their support to enable this project to be completed.

Great Job, after a long wait – But !! Today two residents of Tame Bridge were shocked to see a vehicle drive at high speed from Stokesley and cut the corner on the wrong side of the “refuge” and continue at high speed towards Seamer. What next – Install a ANPR camera ?
