But judging at the prices of houses on Zoopla’s Property Rich List some houses on Teesside could indeed be fit for royalty.
The online property search tool regularly updates its ‘Rich List of Property Values’.
The site splits our area into two – North Yorkshire and County Durham.
And North Yorkshire features one of our postcodes among its most expensive.
TS9 is ninth on the North Yorkshire ‘highest value area’ list – an area covering Great Ayton and Stokesley.
Properties within the area include a five-bedroom, detached property in Kirkby, near Stokesley, with a current estimated value of £1,819,415.
Another five-bedroom detached property in nearby Great Broughton now has an estimated worth of £1,742,035.
