1. Nomination papers must be delivered BY HAND to the Returning Officer at North Yorkshire Council, Civic Centre, Stone Cross, Rotary Way, Northallerton, DL6 2UU between 10 am and 4 pm on any working day from the date of publication of this notice (excluding bank holidays) but no later than 4pm on Friday, 1 September 2023.
  2. Nomination papers can be obtained from the offices of the Returning Officer, North Yorkshire Council, Civic Centre, Stone Cross, Rotary Way, Northallerton, DL6 2UU. If the election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday, 28 September 2023.
  3. Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on Tuesday 12 September 2023. Applications can be made online https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
  4. Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes and amendments or cancellations of proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the address below by 5 pm on Wednesday, 13 September 2023.
  5. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5 pm on Wednesday, 20 September 2023. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate can be made online: www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate
  6. New applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the address below by 5 pm on Wednesday, 20 September 2023.
  7. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the address below by 5 pm on Thursday, 28 September 2023.
