The new informal networking event for businesses, entitled Thirsty Thursday, is being launched in Stokesley.
Targeting businesses and individuals in Stokesley and the surrounding area and will take place at various locations in the town. The first event will be launched at The Mill cafe pub on Thursday, November 13.
The aim is to allow businesses to meet after work, between 5pm and 7pm, and talk about new projects, events and opportunities.
Anna Addison, who runs PR company Anna Addison Associates in Stokesley, is helping to organise the initiative alongside Sue Thompson who runs design company, Catch Design Management.
Anna said: “There is such a thriving business community in and around Stokesley. Many of us are self-employed consultants – everything from web experts and graphic designers to physiotherapists and artists – who have met at a range of events arranged by organisations such as Superfast North Yorkshire and Hambleton District Council.
Sue said: “As far as we’re aware, there isn’t any business networking events like this for Stokesley and places such as Osmotherley, Swainby, Seamer and Hutton Rudby so we really hope that ‘Thirsty Thursday’ takes off and we all get to meet one another- and possibly do business together in the future.”
