Seamer Community Fund

As many of you know Seamer Parish receives an annual sum of approx. £10K from the owners of the windfarm. This is given for the benefit of the village and is to be used to benefit the Community. Over the last year it has supported:

The Big Village Lunch – Organised by the Village Hall Committee

The Christmas and Easter Events in the Village Hall- Organised by Ann Thomas

2 of the summer events ran for the village children – Organised by Ally Johnson

The installation of a bus shelter for the school children to use- Organised by the Parish Council

The flower tubs around the village and the purchase of flowers- Organised by the Parish Council

Equipment for play and stay in the village hall – Organised by Allyson Routledge

Purchase of a new bowls mat for the village hall bowls group – Organised by Christine Cooper

Grapevine Printing contribution – Organised by Allison Routledge

Maintenance of Village Hall defibrillator – Organised by Christine Campy

The fund is open to anyone living in either Seamer or Tame Bridge. If you are organising an event or have any ideas on what you would like to see in the village, please collect a form from the village hall notice board inside or click on the below link for the village website and download a form.

This fund is to make things better in the village so please feel free to apply. All requests will be discussed at the bi-monthly Parish Council meeting when a decision will be made by a minimum of 3 Parish Councillors.

This is not used for repairs to footpaths or potholes etc which are dealt with by North Yorkshire Council and can by submitted via their website https://www.northyorks.gov.uk/
