A new project which aims to provide support to older or vulnerable people is calling for volunteers in the area to act as good neighbours.

The school is holding a Parents’ Forum meeting on 13th November at 6p.m. which will be an opportunity to discuss issues from the proposed change. At the meeting governors will be available to answer questions and listen to comments.

Northallerton Friarage Hospital changes made despite protests

Changes to children’s and maternity services at a North Yorkshire hospital are coming into force.
The Friarage Hospital, in Northallerton, will now no longer provide overnight children’s care.
And from Monday, only women deemed low risk will be able to give birth at the hospital. Those assessed as high risk must go to Middleborough or Darlington.
Seamer celebrates new lease of life for memorial hall

RESIDENTS are celebrating the reopening of a village hall, which was built as a memorial to those who died in the First World War.
The small community of Seamer near Stokesley, has been fundraising for the renovation for a number of months and after sourcing several grants, managed to raise £35,000 to fund the overhaul of the centre’s interior.
