Rishi Sunak chosen to replace William Hague

Rishi Sunak has been picked as the conservative candidate for Richmond following the resignation of former foreign secretary, William Hague.

Rishi, who co-founded a £1bn global investment firm, is also a governor of the East London Science School.

An Oxford graduate, he studied for an MBA at Stanford University in the USA, where he was a Fulbright Scholar.

He said: “I’m over the moon. It’s a privilege to represent this really special part of the world, and to following the footsteps of William Hague.”
